You will fall in love this little low fuss beauty. Watch her thrive!
Jade is happy indoors or on the patio, but she does need to spend at least four hours each day in bright or direct sunlight. Poor lighting may result in a spindly, droopy jade. And nobody likes a droopy Jade!
Jade plants prefer dry conditions; give her a good soaking and then don't water her again until the soil completely dries out. When in doubt, remember it's better to underwater than over-water a jade plant, but don't leave her bone-dry soil for extended periods of time. She wont like that!
When Jade is much lighter in weight, simply submerge the entire root ball in a bucket of water. Leave her there for about ten minutes until the ball is completely engorged and no longer floats. We have used a special succulent mix including horticulture sand to increase drainage, so the water will drain through quickly once taken out of her bath.
Approximately once every three months, provide added nutrients with a little liquid fertilizer added to the water. This will help maintain healthy green growth and strong plants.
